Kyle Busch controls Atlanta chaos for 65th career Truck Series win

Lost in the thrill of victory for Busch was the agony of defeat for Grant Enfinger, who finished 26th after leading with less than 10 laps to go. Enfinger was nudged slightly into the wall, cutting down a tire on his No. 9 Silverado and relegating him to the back of the pack. 

Ty Majeski edged out Corey Heim for second, while Taylor Gray and Daytona winner Nick Sanchez rounded out the top five. Kaden Honeycutt finished sixth for Niece Motorsports, while Rajah Caruth collected his second consecutive top 10 finish in eighth, continuing a strong start to the young driver’s season. 

Pole sitter Daniel Dye ended the day in ninth, with Dean Thompson rounded out the top ten. Tyler Ankrum, who finished seventh, led the most laps of any driver with 46.

Lanye Riggs was once more caught up in an early incident, finishing 24th, two laps down, as was Thad Moffitt, who finished 27th after running inside the top ten for much of the day. Defending champion Ben Rhodes’ race ended in 29th, while stage one winner Christian Eckes finished in last after brake issues derailed his day. 

Eckes was unable to stop his truck on pit road to make a pit stop, and crew members had to hold on for dear life when trying to stop the truck as it rolled into the garage area. 

While many drivers had issues not of their own doing, those who were in position to win were simply unable to outsmart or outdrive one of the greatest talents NASCAR has ever seen. 

Kyle Busch was quick to remind all of us that he remains the top dog in the Truck Series whenever he decides to crank up his engine. 

Busch will return to the Truck series next week looking to defend his Atlanta win in the No. 7 for Spire Motorsports at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200 on March 1. 

The race will air on FS1, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio at 9 p.m. ET.
