Former Alabama player could not contain his excitement in being reunited with Terrion Arnold
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Dan Campbell has done it again for the Detroit Lions.

The head coach knows how valuable former University of Alabama players are to his roster, and he added another marquee individual to his defense Thursday night during the NFL Draft.

Terrion Arnold, a cornerback, was overjoyed to hear his name called at pick No. 24 by the Lions.

He walked across the stage, called Detroit home, and is more than excited to get to work.

Brian Branch, Arnold’s teammate at Alabama, could not contain his excitement after hearing Arnold’s name to Detroit.

He immediately rejoiced on social media after seeing what the Lions added. Branch regarded as a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, but he fell to the second round. Detroit got him at No. 45 overall, and the native Georgian had a successful rookie season. Branch was a first-team All-American for the Crimson Tide in 2022, following a campaign of 90 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, three sacks, seven pass breakups, two quarterback hurries, and two interceptions.

He assisted the Tide to a College Football Playoff National Champion as a freshman in 2020.

Branch had 74 tackles, 13 pass breakups, and three interceptions during his rookie season for the Lions. Alabama fans are looking forward to seeing what he and Arnold do together.
